Penn Medicine is seeking experienced Advanced Practice Providers for hire in March 2014 and beyond. Must be an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant with Master's degree, with experience in Surgical Critical Care, NeuroCritical Care, and Trauma.
Penn Medicine’s Trauma Program is Expanding
In early 2015 Penn Medicine’s Level 1 Regional Trauma Resource Center, currently located at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, will move to its new home at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. The new facilities have leveraged decades of experience to design a brand new space, literally from the ground up, that will modernize and expand our capabilities in areas including Trauma Critical Care, Neurocritical care, Neurosurgery, IR, Neuro IR, and Ortho Trauma care. Penn Medicine is committed to ensuring that the Penn Medicine Trauma Center at Presbyterian Medical Center will provide world-class care to trauma patients on Day 1. To be successful, we need uniquely qualified leaders in Advanced Practice with the skill, experience, expertise and passion to fill these new and exciting roles in the expanded Trauma Program.
These ACNPs or PAs will be working with board-certified Intensivists on intra-disciplinary ICU teams providing front line management of critically ill or injured patients. Our two new critical care services will provide ICU management of trauma, neurotrauma, emergency surgery, and neurosurgical patient populations. The Advanced Practitioners (APs) in the Trauma Critical Care Unit and NeuroCritical Care unit will function autonomously and in collaboration with intensivists, surgeons, nurses, and other health care professionals to diagnose, treat, and manage complex injuries and critical illness. These APs will also perform procedures as outlined in the privileging agreements (central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, bronchoscopy, ICP monitor placements). The AP model of care will be 24/7/365.

• Master’s prepared Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Pennsylvania licensure and certification as an ACNP or PA-C
