As a level II trauma center Memorial will ensure that our community has access to the critical trauma care it needs when emergency strikes. The Trauma Medical Director will have a strong surgical background, recent experience with complex cases and medical director experience. The TMD will provide input and administrative leadership surrounding clinical and quality measures throughout the trauma and acute care service line. The Trauma Medical Director will work with the Program Director of Trauma Services at the facility to coordinate all components of the program, maintaining the standards of the state of Florida and the American College of Surgeons. The role also works closely with the HCA trauma network. The dynamic team works closely to formulate practice management guidelines, prospective randomized research trials, performance improvement, and outreach. The Trauma Medical Director at this fast growing trauma center has the opportunity to build and lead an a growing team. Education: • Fellowship trained and board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care. Experience: • 1-5 years’ experience as a Trauma Medical Director in a Level Trauma 1 or Level 2 trauma setting.
